Before you use it

  • OSHA 29 CFR 1926.451(f)(3) requires scaffolds and their components to be inspected for visible defects by a competent person before each work shift, and after anything that could affect the scaffold’s structural integrity.
  • Under 1926.451(f)(4), a part damaged or weakened below the required strength is repaired or replaced, braced, or taken out of service until it is repaired.
  • Adjust the list to the scaffold type, such as supported, mobile or suspended, and use the tag colors your site already uses.

In Vardian, readings are checked against their limits as they are entered, and photos and signatures attach to the check itself.

From the sheet to the round

Build a template as a Vardian form, and each line becomes a checkpoint that knows its limit.

Animation: a paper checklist line, compressor discharge pressure with a blank for the reading in bar, becomes a Vardian checkpoint with a limit of 7.0 to 8.5 bar. Scanning the compressor's NFC tag verifies the checkpoint, a reading of 9.1 bar is flagged out of range, and a work order is created from it.

Run this checklist on the round

We'll set it up in Vardian with your checkpoints and limits during a demo.
