Before you use it
- OSHA 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1) requires one or more methods of machine guarding to protect the operator and others from hazards such as the point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, and flying chips and sparks.
- Guards are attached to the machine where possible and must not be a hazard themselves (1910.212(a)(2)). Fan blades less than 7 feet above the floor or working level are guarded, with openings no larger than half an inch (1910.212(a)(5)).
- Where a standard for the specific machine applies, such as for power presses, saws or grinders, its requirements come first.

In Vardian, readings are checked against their limits as they are entered, and photos and signatures attach to the check itself.
From the sheet to the round
Build a template as a Vardian form, and each line becomes a checkpoint that knows its limit.
Animation: a paper checklist line, compressor discharge pressure with a blank for the reading in bar, becomes a Vardian checkpoint with a limit of 7.0 to 8.5 bar. Scanning the compressor's NFC tag verifies the checkpoint, a reading of 9.1 bar is flagged out of range, and a work order is created from it.

We'll set it up in Vardian with your checkpoints and limits during a demo.
